Fool’s Proof Theatre Company present IMAGE-MAKING LABORATORY
advanced interdisciplinary workshop in composition & performance skills. with DAVID LAKEIN Director-Choreographer, Performer, Writer (USA /Berlin)
Multiple Venues throughout Liverpool including the Bluecoat and the Static Informal talk on Tuesday 25th, (see www.thebluecoat.org.uk) Drop-Ins Thursday 27th, 6-9pm and Saturday 29th, 2-8pm

Working individually and in small groups to make several images each day using the body/figure, movement/action, and setting/atmosphere. Lab includes studio work and research in different interior locations and outdoor settings around the city, exploring how unique environments reinvigorate existing work and provide stimulating containers for original creations.
A rigorous (un) learning process with perception-bending and assumption-altering encounters, and serious fun.
Open to artists from all disciplines with an ongoing dedicated practice who wish to gain insights into their current working methods and develop new approaches to their creation process within a group context.
David Lakein
Director-Choreographer, Performer, Educator, Writer.
Studied Philosophy, Literature, Acting & Directing, Improvisation, Choreography
and Release-Technique in the US, Berlin and at the School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam. Collaborates extensively with other artists, and
performs-researches-teaches around Europe and in the United States. Known for inquisitive nature and willingness to engaging all forms of mystery, a well-respected teacher dedicated to his students.
Director of the artistic platform Paradox Bay (www.paradoxbay.org), and currently an MFA candidate at the Art Institute of Chicago.
