The Eagle Has Landed
Audio Diaries of an Unlikely Traveler
The Eagle Has Landed is a show about memory, and the overpowering presence of someone who is not there. What is the imprint that a human life leaves behind and how much of that can be recovered?
The most unlikely of heroes, odd but charming BBC Radio 4 reporter Marvin Williams, goes on a journey to find his brother who has been missing for 20 years. Tracing the trail of an entire life, he stumbles his way through beautiful and outrageous situations. What does he find in the end? A moving story told with quirky humour, idiosyncratic characters, cinematic perspectives, and rapid, surprising scene changes. Devised by the company with the assistance of Linda Kerr Scott of Complicite.
"This was a delightful piece, which combined superlative storytelling with quirky characterisation and spectacularly fluid movement in a delicate pastry parcel of vulnerable comedy. This is one to look out for, so search for them, wherever you can, and let there be no excuses for missing out if they're in your area." Paddy Cooper (Theatre in Wales)
